Especially for PPC supporters:

Enjoy guided walks of Portland’s two most exciting park projects—Riverton Trolley Park and Portland Harbor Common — with PPC Executive Director, Nan Cumming.

We are presenting these tours to acknowledge the kind support of our donors. Tours are complimentary for all Portland Parks Conservancy supporters and their guests, but space is limited and pre-registration is requested.

Riverton Trolley Park Walking Tours

Saturday, September 11, 9:00am

Thursday, September 16, 5:00pm

Nan will showcase the unique history of this land on Presumpscot River as Wabanaki fishing grounds, a corn canning factory, and an amusement park while describing plans for park improvements that were developed through community meetings and surveys last spring.

Portland Harbor Common Park Walking Tour

Thursday, October 14, 5:00pm

Saturday, October 16, 9:00am

Nan will lead a walking tour of the eastern waterfront, offering a historical perspective of the area as she describes a new vision for creating park space that will preserve the waterfront for public enjoyment.

We expect masks will be optional for these events, but that may change as the COVID situation evolves.
