Portlanders mark Earth Day by cleaning up city parks, neighborhood

Portlanders celebrated Earth Day by coming together across 18 sites citywide for the Great Portland Pick-Up, cleaning parks, streets, and waterfront areas from Capisic Pond to Peaks Island. Volunteers of all ages pitched in, collecting trash and caring for shared spaces while enjoying a warm spring day.

The event highlighted the strong sense of community in Portland and the shared responsibility of keeping public spaces clean and welcoming for everyone.
