Portland to break ground on new waterfront park years in the making

The City of Portland and the Conservancy have broken ground on Portland Harbor Common, a new waterfront park replacing a parking lot between Maine State Pier and Ocean Gateway. Phase 1 will bring open lawn space, walking and biking paths, and areas for public art and events, part of a larger vision to reconnect the city to its waterfront.
