Portland Opens First Public Bike Park
PORTLAND, Maine — Portland celebrated the grand opening of Riverton Trolley Bike Park, the city’s first dedicated public bike park. The new park, located off Forest Avenue, includes a pump track, skills course, and three jump lines for riders of all ages and abilities. Developed through a $535,000 partnership between the city, Portland Parks Conservancy, Maine Trail Builders, and local organizations, the park aims to activate underused green space and foster community engagement. Additional park improvements, including a pollinator meadow and upgraded ballfields, are planned.
